Movie Review #1: After Earth

A couple weeks ago my Dad rented After Earth"" with Will Smith, Jayden Smith, Zoe Kravitz and several other actors in it. I was super hyped to see this movie. I looked so cool! And considering that Will Smith is an awesome actor, just increased my excitement for this movie. HOWEVER, when I finally did see it I was completely let down. My parents, sister and myself guessed the end waaaayyyy before it happened, and there were a lot of gaps in the plot. At least, that's what I think. I mean, think about it, basically all Will did was sit there, for like 5 minutes at a time, and think about the past, and had like 5 or less lines at a time. The idea was great, but not well executed. There were some questions at the end, that I had, that were not answered. Overall, it was a good story, but I have definitely seen better movies. So, what were your thoughts?

Truth or Dare

Book Review #6: The Secret Combination to Middle School by Marrae Kimball

It was really, really good. I won this book on Goodreads and even though, I am a Junior in High School, I loved this book. The Secret Combination to Middle School has helped me start changing some of my habits through the ideas presented in this book. It has also changed part of my out look on school. I highly recommend this book to anyone in school anywhere, any age. Most of the kid's worries in this book are fears that I had when I was going into 6th grade and every year after that. Definitely a book to check out for yourself or for your children. Not only does it have interviews from middle-schoolers, but it has the differences between Elementary School and Middle school, and 35 things to do to survive Middle School. The tips in this book will help anyone, in any grade level.

Marrae Kimball, thank you for the book! I cannot wait to see what you do next!

The Maze Runner by James Dashner movie news!

It was just announced on like September 26th, or around this time, that The Maze Runner movie release date has been moved back from February to September 19th, 2014. As far as I can tell, all fans are extremely supportive of this fact, and are looking forward to the movie even more, now that they are taking more time to get it right. Yes we are excited for it to come, but we would rather have it done right, and take a few extra months, than come out and not be nearly as well put together as we would like it. Am I right? Also, it gives me more time to read it! I know what you are thinking, and I will be reading it very soon. Very excited, and thought you should hear the news!
