Book Review 25: The Fear Trials by Lindsay Cummings

The Fear Trials is a short novella set before The Murder Complex takes place it is the training that Meadow receives from her father preparing her for the battle she will have to face later on. It shows how dark her world is and how the tragedy that has set in has affected her and her family. I loved this book just as much as The Murder Complex. It is available as an e-book almost anywhere. If you loved The Murder Complex, then you will most likely love The Fear Trials as well. Or maybe you are just getting into the trilogy and want to read all the books right when they come out, (I know that is what I do), than go ahead and get it! The Murder Complex available as a e-book. Anyway here is some more info on The Fear Trials:

20960464Synopsis: Meadow Woodson has been trained to survive. This is a prequel to The Murder Complex, by Lindsay Cummings, and it is set in a blood-soaked world where the murder rate is higher than the birth rate. For fans of Moira Young's Dust Lands series, La Femme Nikita, and the movie Hanna.

Meadow Woodson's father calls it The Fear Trials, and it is a rite of passage in their family. Meadow is up against her brother Koi. The Fear Trials will both harden her and make her brave. If Meadow wins, she will get a weapon of her own and the right to leave the Woodsons' houseboat without her father or mother at her side. Set in the violent, complex, and mysterious world of The Murder Complex, and introducing Meadow Woodson—a teenage girl trained to survive no matter what the cost—and her family, who are together for the last time on their houseboat in the Florida Everglades.

Book Review 24: The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings

This is honestly one of the best books I have read all year (so far). I have been saying it is sort of like, The Hunger Games, Divergent, and The Maze Runner. I was completely wrong! When I first started it those books are what I related The Murder Complex too, but after the first few chapters it began to take turn, for the better, Lindsay Cummings came up with a brand new extraordinary idea! I have had it for a month or so, and didn't have time to really sit a read it, so I was reading a chapter or two at a time, and last night while reading chapter 34, I realized that I had to finish it that night! I was up until three or four in the morning finishing it. There were so many twists in it! And usually I can guess what is going to happen, other than one, maybe two twists, I had no idea what was going to happen. I was "on the edge of my seat," but I was really sitting/lying in bed while reading this book. There is no cursing that is considered foul language today in it (for the majority of the book). There is violence, but what do you expect form a book titled The Murder Complex? I am reading the novella The Fear Trials also by Lindsay Cummings which is about Meadow  (the main protagonist) and her training! Anyway, I really loved this book, and I think that anyone who loves Y.A, dystopian, mystery, and action, will love this book. But don't take my word for it... go check it our for yourself!
