Book Review 36: Doon by Carey Corp and Lorie Langdon

So, I finished Doon by Carey Corp and Lorie Langdon last night, and it was amazing! I am usually a sucker for fairy-tales anyway, and this is one of my favorites! There is the prince (Jamie MacCrae), his brother (Duncan), the protagonist (Veronica), and her best friend (Mackenna). This story is based on the musical Brigadoon by Alan Jay Lerner.

What does Veronica and Mackenna do when everything at home goes wrong? Go to Scotland of course! What do they find there? Two rings that open a secret portal to another world. What happens after they cross the bridge? Chaos of course! And a romance of the best kind. Veronica has some big decisions to make? Will she choose to stay in Doon or go back to the world she has nothing left in? Can she save the place where she belongs? Will she convince Jamie that she can be trusted, and that she is worth all of the problems caused?

To find out the answers to these questions get the book today! I found this book better than most Disney princess stories. And that says a lot! Anyway, I am really looking forward to reading Destined for Doon the sequel to Doon. There are so many twists in this book. Carey Corp and Lorie Langdon keep you guessig until the end, and leave you wanting more! If you love Disney stories, romantic books, or fantasies, you need this book!
